The Real You Counselling

CounsellOR nEAR WINCHESTER, Hampshire

About Me

I am a qualified counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and

Psychotherapists which is a professional association for registered members of counselling professions. I work with children, young people, and adults.

I offer a friendly, safe, and confidential space to listen and understand what is going on for you from your perspective.

Together we will work, without judgement or shame, at your pace to explore your concerns, gain insight into what changes you want to make to move forward in your life.

In developing our trusting relationship, my approach is respectful, honest, and supportive of your needs.

My counselling style is both Person Centered* and Transactional Analysis** based, to facilitate personal growth and change, and to fulfil your potential in all areas of your life.

In addition, I use creative interventions such as clay, stonework, and free association artwork which can be helpful in accessing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a more informal way.

I also offer Ecotherapy - Walk Talk Therapy*** in a variety of convenient locations and settings.

I have wide experience from a variety of caring professions including over 10 years as a hospital and community nurse and midwife.

Currently, I work as a counsellor for a Winchester charity supporting local families with both sort term counselling and longer - term psychotherapy depending of their needs.

In addition, I provide emotional support and to university students as a Specialist Mentor.

I also have a private practice with flexibility for both day and evening appointments to fit around your time schedule.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey and next chapter of your life.

* Person Centre Counselling is based on the counsellor offering the right conditions to explore our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in discovering our own ability to work through our issues.

**Transactional Analysis is based on exploring our personality, how this has been shaped by our childhood experiences which in turn influences our relationships with others.

*** Walk and Talk Therapy enables us to use the outside environment to physically relax our bodies, calm our minds, and open up to a new way of thinking and feeling.
